There comes a moment in every woman’s life when your life grows a little quieter. Your career is no longer something you’re desperately trying to prove. The children need you differently. You’ve spent years making sure everyone else is okay.
And then, one ordinary Tuesday, a tiny question quietly appears.
What about me?
Queens & Sisters was born from that question.
Not from a boardroom. Not from a business plan.
Queens & Sisters was born from countless cups of coffee, long walks, airport lounges, laughter that made us cry, and the comforting realisation that neither of us had everything figured out.
We’re Erika and Riikka — two women from Finland who have collected stories instead of perfection. As editors of Queens & Sisters, we write about the life we’re actually living. Not the curated version. The real one.

Built careers. Travelled the world. Made brilliant decisions.
Made spectacularly questionable ones. Started over more than once.
Loved deeply. Lost things. Found ourselves again.
And laughed through almost all of it.
Because if life has taught us anything, it’s this: almost everything becomes a good story eventually.
The magazine we wished had existed
Queens & Sisters isn’t here to tell you how to become a better woman. We think you already are one. We’re simply creating the magazine we wish had existed for us.
A place where business conversations sit comfortably beside travel dreams.
Where routines are acts of kindness instead of punishment.
Where menopause can be discussed with honesty.
Where beautiful homes aren’t about expensive furniture, but about how a room makes you exhale.
Where love isn’t reserved for twenty-five-year-olds.

You’ll find stories about building businesses, quiet luxury, empty nests, long marriages, new beginnings, little adventures, planners, beautiful hotels, Sunday mornings, good coffee — and the occasional slightly delusional life plan. Because we still believe in dreaming. Perhaps even more than we did at twenty.
Dreams don’t happen by luck
Only now we know something important. Dreams don’t become reality because we’re lucky. They become reality because, little by little, we make room for them.
That’s why our planner exists. Not to help you do more. But to help you remember what matters.
